Walk of the Month: Devil’s Bridge wander

We like to help you explore the area whilst you’re staying with us. For those of you that can get out on foot, we hope our monthly walks help give you a little inspiration whether you visit us weekly, monthly or just once a year.

To finish the year we have this short loop in nearby Kirkby Lonsdale, where you can tie in a bit of Christmas shopping or a trip to one of the fantastic eateries.

Where to wander this month: 

A short circular route taking in Devil’s Bridge and the River Lune.

The details: 

Distance: 1.5 miles (2.5km)

Approx. Time: approx. 1 hour 

Terrain: Well surfaced paths or tarmac. One section of steep steps which can be avoided if required. 

Important info:  Remember to follow the countryside code and to prepare for all weather conditions.

The route:

The route starts and ends at the parking areas by Devil’s Bridge.   It is a 20 minute drive to the start of the walk from Riverside.
