Accessibility
Riverside Caravan Park strives to ensure that all guests and visitors can enjoy the facilities and surroundings within the park. Our aim is to help in any way we can and if you require any assistance during your stay or whilst planning your visit we will be delighted to offer our services.
Reception and the shop are open between 9am and 5pm during March – November, and between 9am and 4pm for the remaining months of the season (closed Jan – Feb). All our public buildings are accessible for wheel-chair users.
Mobile phone coverage can be patchy, as some networks may have weaker signals than others, but we do have a public telephone on the park, located behind reception, in the direction of the river bridge, which can be used in Emergencies. This Phone box does not accept incoming calls.
Our Park offers holiday homes (owner occupiers only) as well as touring and motor-home pitches.
We offer disabled guests pitches in close proximity to our amenity block, which has a designated “disabled” toilet/shower-room. Our toilet blocks offer level access showers and toilets for our guest’s convenience. Keys for the disabled toilet can be obtained from reception. Guests are advised that we ask for a £10 deposit for the key which is refundable upon return of the key. We can also provide a disability ramp for guests to use if required; please ask in reception for details.
Our pitches are mixed, with fully-serviced, hard-standing and grass pitches and offer parking adjacent to the pitch.
Access to the Riverside Walk is not suitable for wheelchair users or those who have difficulty walking. However the roads around the park are level and tarmaced. For all our guests safety, a speed limit of 10 mph is operated throughout the park.
Our reception and shop have level access. Accessible toilets are located in the reception building.
There is a limited bus service from High Bentham and a time-table for this service is available at reception. We are also a short distance from Bentham Train Station offering links along the Lancaster/Morecambe to Leeds line. Additionally we can provide guests with the numbers of several taxi firms which operate in the area, some of whom have adapted transport for the disabled.
